Well, if you're going to fly down at 600 ft AGL, you should learn how
to do patterns at that height. There are actually quite a few places
where 600 AGL is pattern altitude. I've never nticed that 600 AGL is
any harder - in fact, I find it easier. Of course I also don't chande
the size of the pattern, and don't start the descent until later. If
you try to scale down the whole pattern, it gets harder. Also
unnecessary.
