Have you noticed the "?hop=156643" at the end of the tycooncashflow
link? You can change the number to anything and you still get the same
page.
Could someone be getting paid for every visit to the website? Or maybe
for every paying customer sent there?

Yes, thats exactly how it works. Here's my follow up after trying the
program Shay is also attempting:
The basic idea is you try to rank high in the search engines with
either ads which you pay per click for, or with your own web site, and
then send them to a product page (with your affiliate id) and hope
they buy it. If they don't, you just paid google for the click, if
they do, you get up to 75% of the price of the sale, which in my case
was $30 for one sale. However, it cost me $12.50 for the clicks to
get that sale, so total profit, about $15. Then, the next morning I
checked my adwords account and found I was now $20 in the hole for
clicks, with only one purchase, so now I was $15 negative. Figured
I'd give it one more shot, and loaded up my adwords account and paid
another $20 in clicks with no purchases and decided I had lost enough.
After working on it for a few days, I came to a few conclusions:
1) Google despite having a nice search engine is destroying the
usefulness of the internet on a huge scale. Everything you type gets
handed off to spammers and advertisers.
2) Doing the typhoon cash flow method will make a little money but you
will probably lose more in time and effort, while polluting the
internet even further.
3) It's possible to use these tools to legitimately sell a GOOD
product, in which case you would make good money over a long time....
but few people are doing this.
4) If you want to make money fast and be a complete jerk on the
internet, you develop your own "how to get rich plan" just like
typhoon cash flow did, and teach everyone how to sell so they will
sell your program until they figure out they were duped.
Yes, the information was moderately useful if you are trying to
promote a real product of your own (just the keyword research methods
and search engine optimization techniques), but trying to make a
living by promoting clickbank landing pages is like paying people to
read junk mail. It can only be profitable if you are a good enough
liar.
Final verdict, do not do it.
I am going to delete my earlier post about it being partially
successful, it's not.
Think I'll get my refund? hahah I doubt it.
