A rest day was called today because of yesterday's tragic loss of
Herman Weiss, but the contest will continue. Tim has some details of
the accident on his blog.
Apparently, it was a high-speed impact with terrain shortly after the
second turnpoint. The wreckage and Herman's body were spotted from
the air a short while before rescue helicopters made it to the remote
site.
