We keep getting this report of how beat-up the pilot was and how much
damage there was to her instruments, and yet they say she made the
landing. I have to wonder if those reports are just guessing by the
uninformed media, or if not, why she did not let the F/O land the
aircraft? I don't know the Hawker cockpit, nor do I have any idea of the
actual crew dynamic in the aftermath of this accident, but on first
hearing it seems a little unusual.

I look forward to getting more information. A cockpit voice recorder
transcript would be nice. Too bad we don't have one.
