No they're inferior designs.
To start I'd spec dual tracks on each side, so the tank is still
mobile if one track is blown off, I'd also interlace them.

Of course I've thrown track, my units could do a 360 in 1 second,
that takes good design, found by mistakes.
So the toys you built could...
I am talking real armored vehicle tracks..
And if you interlace them all you do is complicate the drive train with
no added benefit...
So you think dual wheels on trucks add no safety?
I take it you have never had to clear the clumped mud from between said
dual wheels...
The function of a 'tracked' vehicle is to transport a heavy
load (a turret) on soft ground, that needs to minimize psi.
Wheels sink to much in muk, snow, sand etc. so a good
track design is very difficult (that dime turns) but it makes
could make a diff, I don't know if future combat will warrant
the effort, the tank maybe a dead end anyway.
