Considering how the pentagon procurement system works,
is it really possible for something like this to be built and
ready to deploy within 18 months of contract award?
If they got off their rears at procurement, yeah... also it if from
skunk works. I am guessing it will be more purpose built than the Heli
Stat. Though many sensors and otehr components are doable off the
shelf.
Make some turboprop COIN plane escorts and it is Sky Captain
time... ;)
