Many fools are elected to Congress.

They generally know how to fake normal behavior, modulo their
constituent base, at least until after the election.

This might be a problem.

It is, unfortunately. And the fools keep getting reelected. Here in
California, the House districts have been so gerrymandered that it's
virtually impossible for a Democrat to run in a GOP district and win,
and vice versa. Other states have similar problems.
