In any case, a bird through the windshield of a light airplane is likely to
result in a REAL emergency.
How about the large salmon that Ed Gauss [an old Alaska bush pilot] once
talked about. A fellow aviator had dumped fuel to climb and avoid Ed...and
succeeded. The salmon became Ed's passenger.
