In every military unit, air, ground and sea there are those who
ride
into battle at the tip of the spear. They are the first to clash
with
the enemy and victory or defeat often lies in their hands, They are
men a breed apart who have experiences and memories that stay with
them for a lifetime. These are the best and the bravest of the
brave
and we owe them evrything.
Are you trying to say you were at Pearl Harbor ?
Gee Tinkerbell, were you at the Polish border in 1939, the low
countries and France in 1940, in the BoB, in N Africa, in the balkans
and at Stalingrad and Kursk, maybe even in the Battle of Berlin? Were
you part of the French Resistance or Yugoslav guerillas? A part of
S.O.E. or O.S.S.?
That was my point friend, that Art, at the time of entry of the US
into
WW2 was not yet even in the service.
Nope, didn't think so. At least Art was doing his duty in his B-26
over the ETO against the Nazis. What were you doing at the time? Not
born yet or shitting your diapers?
Art did his duty in his time.
Did you ever do your's ?
Nope, we know you didn't.
You had better things to do much like Obama, Clinton, Chenny and any
number of other "patriots"
Let's leave current politics out of it....Obama wasn't even born when
all
that stuff was going on.
Neither was Rob nor myself.
But when we came of age the opportunity to step up to the plate and
serve was there.
My point was that Rob is quickly criticizes people's service when he
never had to endure any sacrifice at all
Come on Rob, man up and sign up.
Can't happen....not enough balls. Friend of mine is a Marine
Captain.....she flies choppers and has pulled tours in both Iraq and
Afghanistan. She has far more balls than the reluctant Teuton.
She flying Ch46's ?
I think that she's flying Super Stallions, Ch53s.
I think she's going to go far.....her stepdad is a retired three star
gyrene. I know her Mom, too....all great folks.
Nice.
I've always liked the look of those.
