What's a wet field got to do with what I'm assuming you're
designating (no dash) a Privateer?
Nothing - since a PB2Y was a Coronado, Consolidated's 4 engine
big brother to the PBY.
Wet grass can provide a sufficiently low friction surface for a
light seaplane or flying boat to take off from or land on.
The implication is that Britain is wet beyond the point of saturation.
