Someone doesn't know that the Growlers are coming along to take over
the Prowler role. Plus, for "unconventional missions" in the GWOT, you
don't need a twin-engine modified combat jet. A King Air, C-130, or
Blackhawk is a much more suitable platform for providing broadband
jamming of communications and collecting ELINT.

So when will The Force start buying their own Growlers?

Or better yet build a F-35E so you've got a jammer that can go silent
and hide when the heat is on.

The USAF does not build jammers because stealth aircraft don't need
them, but stealth aircraft are so expensive that they will never be
risked without jammer support...
