Also if you hit a nuclear target, you have fallout even with
conventual weapons.

not as much as a nuclear yield would generate, nor as "hot".
many magnitudes less,I suspect.

But most probably enough radioactive pollution of Iran's underground
facilities will occur as to make them unusable by humans, and that IS
the goal after all is said and done. We don't even need 100% total
destruction of the bunkers and the machines therein. Just enough
destruction to render them useless.
Dave

I believe peoples concerns about "fallout" do not extend to underground
facilities.
I believe it's more about aboveground spread of radioactives, where people
might inadvertantly/unknowingly encounter them, and have them spread by
wind and rain.

You know, all, this talk of the MOP's ground penetrating and bunker-
busting capabilities is in a way laughable. During OIF, the Q4 bunker
built by the Germans for Saddam was hit with IIRC over 80 tons of
ordnance and it wasn't even scratched (just as the German designed
claimed BEFORE the war even started). It was designed to survive a
nearby nuke.

Too bad the Iranians don'tuse either German or former-Yougoslavian
bunker builders AFAIK!
