Hawkeye picks up the launch platform at 250+ miles, giving a hundred-plus miles before the Sunburn can even be launched.
Once away, it's a five-ton supersonic missile with a radar and IR signature roughly on a par with a Saturn 5's first-stage booster and a 1980-vintage seeker.
Sunburn's kinematically impressive but it's also getting on for thirty years old. There are newer and more frightening threats around, but they aren't proliferating: it's sometimes worth asking why.
