So, Art paid me a compliment. I know that I can be an *** here but
I mainly stick to digging for rare avia most of the time, artworks,
illustrations, etc... for the benefit of all and that includes you too
despite open hostilities.

I think you should lighten up on Art. If you want aggression you can
get plenty from attacking me directly.

Rob

Did you ever give any credit to those who developed these materials or
recorded them for use?  Anything I have read infers you did it all yourself.

Is that the feedback you wanted?

Tex Houston

When I feel like it, I credit, although as I've stated numerous times
before- ANY site, forum, NG, whatever... can claim copyright and say
all materials therein are theirs, but I recognize from so much ref
material experience that most of them just "steal" other people's
works or scans from books... so WHY should I bother to credit liars
and theives?

Also, you can't be that dumb Tex not to notice the original site in
most of the URLs I post. Anyone that knows URLs can use the coding to
backtrack to the page or Main site... that is, unless you are stupid.

I don't feel any guilt over anything posted here b/c it is a mere NG.
Try a forum Tex- they blatantly scan entire sections of books and
hardly ever credit anyone unless it is a Moderated forum like Axis
History Forum. I do not join those due to the fact that I do not
recognize their authority to edit or delete anything I post, i.e.
"play forum God".

Tex, thanks for the input, but Fair Usage and copyright laws are not
your specialty- OT posts are :)

Try to stick to that instead and I will continue to post rare a/c or
anything I want to w/o consequence.

I think you are being a fool for expecting me to post refs when those
sites or forums do not or else have stolen the material from some
other X-source. Really, HOW MANY SITES OR PEOPLE do you know that have
personal pics of rare historic aircraft?

Art, Books, and Illustrations are one thing... but photos are fair
game.

My own material has been stolen and is all over the net. Do I whine
like a bitch over it? No, I could care less. It's a fact of both
Usenet and the Internet.

If you don't know that Tex, I pity you since you have been here so
long.

Seriously... get over it.

Also, my online books are only directed by me. Greyfalcon has control
over all formatting and credits. I ask him to credit as much as
possible, but ultimately it is his site and I am only hosted there.
The online books differ highly from my copyrighted hardcopies which
are retained by IRP. My Disc Book, for example, is 200 pages with a
couple hundred photos, illustrations, etc... with an entire rear
section devoted to ref material. Credits are by page for my texts. The
online version, by comparison, would surely print out at over 500
pages and contains almost 400 photos, 250 illustrations, 150 artworks,
25 patents, and roughly 75 texts in 15 categories. It is huge and the
premiere German disc aircraft site online. I have no direct
competition and I am way beyond Dan Johnson's Luftwaffe '46 paper
project site. BTW, did you know that he claims copyright over Justo
Miranda's Reichsdream Dossiers and artwork, all the artwork from his
artists (which is their own work with their own sites as well), and
scans the "Luftwaffe Secret Projects" series of books? Should I then
credit him for those works?

*** no.

Unicraft Models does the same thing, and so on... you will find this
all over the net and I am too busy bulk posting to waste time on
tracking down the original sources even if they could be found...
which on forums is highly unlikely.

Just FYI...

Rob

p.s. I am already known around the world Tex due to my online books
and get e-mails every single day from around the globe that beg for
information from me. I am not bragging, just stating the facts. You
wanted to know, so I am telling you. Rob Arndt is known online too...
just punch in my name and add any disc info and see that I am
everywhere. My RAM material shows up too and sometimes even my poetry.
I do not need anyone's approval here at all- for anything... period.
