A former colleague of mine was flying one of those around less

There was one in the Flying Lady hangar in Morgan Hill, CA. At least it
was there the last time I wandered over, some time after the restaurant
closed down.
That one is not a YO-3 -- it is the proof of concept craft and is a
one-only design. It has a Wankel-type engine, driving a long shaft,
radiator in front and is for sale in Trade-A-Plane.
