Although I do not believe this craft was ever built, the Soviets DID
research the German Seeteufel tracked midget sub and built postwar
versions of military tracked midget subs for use in cutting US
underwater military cables, etc...

The Grundhai was also the inspiration for development of Soviet DSRVs.
