[snip]

Rate of KIAs:

8th AF..........................13.0%
USMC.......................... 4.1%

Rate of WIAs:

8th AF..........................23.5%
USMC..........................14.1%

Putting both together, 46.5% of the 8th AF troops were slated to
become casualties as compared with 18.2% of the Marines.

Although total strength might have been a more reliable data base
rather than peak strength, the numbers provided probably serve the
purpose of proving my previously stated conclusion that your ass was
more at risk over the skies of Europe than it would have been anywhere
in USMC green during that same period of time.

The prosecution rests.
(^v^))))))

The prosecution should arise and correct its slightly flawed report of
statistics.

Forget it.......if you don't like my numbers, produce your own. I'm not
a statistician and never claimed to be one; besides, everybody knows
that statistics are little more than lies that are produced to give a
conclusion an aura of respectibility which is not necessarily deserved.

Anyway, as I said, I've already rested and once I've assumed that
position, I never get off my ass and back on my feet. IOW, I've had my
say and you can feel free to disagree. The only thing you can't do is
to ask me to rechew my cud.....once I'm done, I'm done.

I'm done.

Well George it's really quite simple. Thirteen percent added to 23.5% is
36.5% not the 46.5% you reported.

So it isn't whether or not I liked the numbers. It was a simple error on
your part that you obviously have too much attitude to correct.

Sorry you had trouble identifying a simple typographical error without trying to
make a major hooha out of it. I obviously didn't correct it because I didn't
notice it. So what?

As for telling me that "you can't...ask" well, son, you can't tell me what
to do and I can ask any damn thing I please.

Did you ever hear of a figure of speech? English must be your second language
judging from the trouble you seem to have with understanding a simple one. Or
are you just trying to be a pain in the ass.? OK, so you're a PITA and I can't
tell you what to do other than to STFU and if that bothers you, stick it where
the moon doesn't shine and go bother someone else.

George Z.
