The RAAF F-111s still achieved 99% availability on every Red Flag exercise
they've been on. To ensure a spare parts availability, they
_bought_ a number of airframes at AMAARC, in addition to the ones coming
from the local fabrication chain.
You make it sound like they're digging through dumpsters.
There are a few things that ground the pigs, but lack of parts isn't one of
them.
