Interesting in that it appears to be sporting invasion strips as well.
The 25th BG that operated the Mossies was very aware of the problem of
flying a twin engined aircraft near a formation of heavy bombers with
their notoriously trigger-happy gunners - the stripes stayed on after
the invasion as a positive identifier that the speedy twin was not an
Me 410.
