Design project with four Allison V-1710 inlines buried within the
wings. A bizarre 173' span twin-boom "flying wing" variant of the
design had the engines mounted as two pushers and two tractors plus
two P&W radial pushers added for good measure. Design studies were
bought by USAAC and assigned the official designation of XB-16, but
were shelved in favor of Being's XB-15.
