I have an internal RAF report, compiled sometime in 1941 IIRC, which
is more or less a memo summing up operations of fighter command at
that time and there are persistent reports in it of 4-engined bombers
attacking London and elsewhere. I have always assumed that these
reports were made by slightly overexcited pilots, spotters, etc. One
report, IIRC, speaks of 40 4-engined bombers in one attack - and it
just has to wrong. And no, as far as I know, the Condor never had a
tail gun.
