I have seen schematics of the devices in question and associated allied
research if drop as a conventional bomb all that occured would have been a
Nuclear fizzle and the sub-critical masses would not have been brought
together fast enough. However if attached to a V2 with a vastly higher
impact velocity then the outcome is less sure plus remember the amout of
Uranium in the device was massive so in either case a lot of high level
contamination over a large area.
Erm no
This assembly is incapable of reaching criticallity no matter how fast
its assembled
nonsense
and natural uranium is no more radioactive than the
granite Manhattan lies on.
Whether made of highly enriched, partially enriched (which the parapat
supposedly was) or natural uranium a neutron source is needed.
