I just wonder whether it would be possiblw to attach inflatable wings
to a car. I note that MIT is working on a car that can fly. There are
quite a lot of alternative concepts to Moller.

Has there been anywork on inflatable control surfaces since they tried
blow-up intake lips on the early Harriers?

You would probably use a different principle. It has been known for
some time that id you put small holes in an airframe and blow and such
that this gives you control. Aelerons, elevators etc. are not well
adapted to a flexible airframe. Holes in strategic positions are.

For a HALO jump you would effect control by shifting your position and
CG. In a Class A (Flying car) you would have holes in the airframe and
the pilot would hold the familiar stick. Fly by wire translating the
commands.
