Keith is just pissed that on 9/01/42 Marseille shot down 17 British
aircraft in one day:
2 P-40s + 2 Spitfires (intervals: 08:20, 08:30, 08:33, and 08:39)
Refuel and re-arm
then
8 P-40s (intervals: 10:55,10:56,10:58,10:59, 11:01, 11:02, 11:03 and
11:05)
return to base, refuel, rearm
then
5 P-40s (intervals: 17:46, 17:47, 17:48, 17:49, 17:50, and 17:53)
17 aircraft in a day! Marseille had expeneded an avg of 15 rds per
kill- a tremendous ace. Had he lived longer, he easily could have
surpassed Hartmann in the long run.
Rob
Trouble is the British didnt lose 17 aircraft that day,
they lost 11 to all causes including AA fire.
