Re: North Africa! Where was the Luftwaffe?

Keith is just pissed that on 9/01/42 Marseille shot down 17 British
aircraft in one day:

2 P-40s + 2 Spitfires (intervals: 08:20, 08:30, 08:33, and 08:39)
Refuel and re-arm
then
8 P-40s (intervals: 10:55,10:56,10:58,10:59, 11:01, 11:02, 11:03 and
11:05)
return to base, refuel, rearm
then
5 P-40s (intervals: 17:46, 17:47, 17:48, 17:49, 17:50, and 17:53)

17 aircraft in a day! Marseille had expeneded an avg of 15 rds per
kill- a tremendous ace. Had he lived longer, he easily could have
surpassed Hartmann in the long run.

Rob

* Note: only Maj.Emil Lang on the Eastern Front bested Marseille by 1
a/c having shot down 18 aircraft in one day!
