Gosh, the world is running out of titanium. I suppose we'd best stop
using it in housepaint, eyeglass frames and body piercings? ;-)


The GLOBAL rise in titanium prices is indeed a major issue for
many industries including bicycle and golf club makers.
Prices have risen 600% over the last few years. Titanium
sponge, a key aerospace material is currently trading at
around $29,000 per metric ton

The titanium in paint is of course the oxide which is
much cheaper.
