what does that have to do with a 17 to 18 yearolds in 1944-45.
so far there have been a bunch of responses dealing with college grads
in
the 1960s.
This guy wasn't a College grad, but we were talking about JROTC. As
JROTC began in 1916 as part of the National Defense Act of 1916 he
could
have gone into the Military as a higher Rank when he did around 1944.
I think you may be mistaken, Mike. The National Defense Act of 1916
seems
to refer only to the National Guard and State Militias. I haven't
noticed
any reference in it to Reserve Officers Training Corps and particularly
with relation to the establishment of units under that program in high
schools. I admit that I only did a quick look see, so if you have a link
to the precise section of the Act that pertains to Jr. ROTC, I'd sure
appreciate it because I could very easily have missed it.
JROTC was founded in 1916. A link has already been provided that gives
you a
thumbnail history of the program.
Mike already said that. I asked him for a link to the correct part of the
act involved. If you've got it, how about sharing it? If you haven't,
then you haven't added anything to our discussion.
Geeze. I already gave a link to a pretty good site that covers the history
of the JROTC program from its inception, which despite your claims otherwise
was indeed in 1916. Backtrack the thread and find the link you missed.
Telling me that someone
provided it a couple of years or months ago isn't any help to someone who
wants to take a look at the act.
Try over a matter of past hours, not years or months. As a response in this
thread, no less.
Like I said, if you've got that link, I'd appreciate it if you'd post it.
Already have. Seek and ye shall find...
If you haven't, then thanks for nothing and goodbye.
Already forgetting the posts just a day old? Might want to check into new
meds...
