Okay, second try at responding since Outlook ate the first one...AFAIK
completion of at least three years of JROTC saw you enlisted at E-3
paygrade, but you did not put the stripes on until after completing
basic--you got the pay though.

No....junior ROTC in high schools did not exist during WWII.
