I have a couple photos posted on the A.B.P.A that are labeled
"WeStoleIt" - the only information on the reverse. I have wondered
about the a/c type for some time and found a very similar airframe
today in a 1945 reco manual under the name "Hickory Model 1 twin engine
light transport", suggesting that the machine would be used in
last-ditch Kamikaze missions. Better photos would be great so I can
compare with the images that I have. I actually think the aircraft in
my photos show a very similar, but smaller, airframe - can anyone give
me suggestions as to what it may be?
Any help appreciated.

Could it be the Ki-46 Dinah ?
Primarily used as a recon bird it was a fast (375 mph) high flying
twin engine aircraft that was able to operate with impunity
over Australia until the Spitfire V's arrived as P-40's
simply couldnt catch it.
There was a version intended for ground attack that had just entered
production at the end of the war designated the Ki-46-III Otsu
