Having had discussions with Ed off and on since he first appeared in
this n.g about 10.5 years ago, and having read his book twice; I'm well
aware of who he is and what he has done for his country. I do not
question his courage or service to country.

I have and continue to differ from him strongly on many matters (such as
sycophantic circle-the-wagons defense of the lying chickenhawk
administrations who are quick to expend the blood of other peoples sons
and daughters for fabricated and ever-changing reasons) related to the
recent deployments of our forces in harms way.

My point is the reasons he uses to justify us fighting and dying in Iraq
apply to several other countries which I do not see him, or people who
share his political views advocating.

No, what was uncalled for was your knee-jerk assumption.
