While I personally do not believe the concerns about low frequency magnetic fields, those who do are likely to have a field day.

There was a time when I didnt believe it either, but I have seen effects
which tend to make me wonder. At one place I worked, one of the
sites called for people to work in an area of extremely high flux density.

There was a statistically very significant correlation of brain cancer in
people who worked there.

Everything was evaluated (chemicals in the air, etc) except the magnetic
field. It was not even considered to be feasible. Or if it were, it was not
brought out into the light.

The only studies I have seen that seemed to support health connections were done very poorly, by epidemiologists who obviously did not understand EM fields. For instance, not being able to measure the fields, they assumed the B field strength proportional to the EMF of power lines in an area, when the inverse is usually the case. And, in most wiring, the field is not a simple function of distance, as they assumed, but depending on the type of wiring, is not even inversely proportional to square of distance. There was also a big disconnect on understanding EM waves and induction.

Frequency is a biggie. I do think there is something to brain cancer risks with RF, especially microwave frequencies. But the energy per photon of low frequency fields is miniscule, far below the ionization energy of virtually any organic molecule.
