If the GM pension fund goes away, I'll get a percentage of it paid by the
Federal Pension Guaranty Board, which is taxpayer funded. Plus, there's always

Good deal. Why does Buick offer four models of the Lucerne? They do not sell enough of that car to need even two trim levels.
I think they need four trim levels to increase sales. Appealing to a wider market and all that.
Yeah, I see a ton of new Buicks on the street.
The problem that GM and Ford and Chrysler face it that nobody over the age of fifty would consider a Jap or German car because of WWII and nobody under the age of fifty would consider and American car because of quality.
You could probably draw a vary nice graph with the percentage of car buyers under thirty on one axis and the market share of the American car companies on the other axis. Or something like that.
