Per Jayski:
Testing at Road Atlanta was delayed approximately an hour Tuesday after
Elliott Sadler crashed hard into a barrier. Sadler was not injured. The
hit
was so hard the front suspension was pushed up near the firewall. It was
not
immediately known if something broke on his car.
Wonder if'n that was wunnadem 'new generation' Evernham cars Elliott was
so
pleased with at Indy?
lol Good questions Tom. Dunno if they'd expend a "next generation" car
at a Roadie or not. As to the engine? Must have been an angular impact
that pushed either the left or right a-frames into the firewall....so
ya got me. If BOTH were pushed into the firewall, the answer is
simple, the engine was in Sadler's lap - or certainly on top of his
right leg and what was left of the tranny/bellhousing was at a perfect
place to be an arm rest.
Thank you for leaving out the graphical description of where the left header
would have been. (ouch!)
Ouch indeed. Would redefine the term hot boiled nuts. ;-)
