What CC do you think should be moving on at the end or near end of the

won't happen. I think DEJ can drive a car, I think something is
missing within his crew. How many people from his old team did he
bring over?

i dont think he brought anyone except Eury jr., am i right?
eury jr is fine as long as jr likes him. that's the most important
part of driver/cc relationship, they have to have chemistry. dale and
tony go way back and know eachother very well. Tony is just old
fashioned in the way he does some things, and doesn't exactly use all
his HMS resources he could, probably because he's never had access to
so much being from DEI. A few weeks ago when Jr won everyone was
praising tony as a genius for his call, he messed up on the weekend,
and its hard to gain positions back from a bad call that puts you down
a lap when there's cautions every 10 laps. I like Tony Eury jr he has
personality which is something missing in today's sport.

I would hope that they go way back and know each other very well
considering they are cousins.

What makes you think that TEJ doesn't use all of HMS resources?

Tony Jr, in HotPass interviews anyway, says that he loves all the
"tools" at HMS, the simluation software, and all the engineering and
technical support. Sounds to me like he does use everything he can.

I've heard the exact opposite in the many interviews that he has done
since being at HMS. He especially likes the open book policy when it
comes to the 4 teams sharing their info.

Listening to HotPass, it is obvious that all 4 teams are into the
sharing. When one car is doing better than the others, you can hear
the CC's telling the drivers "The 24/48/5/88 is running this air
pressure, this wedge setting, this track bar setting" etc. They have a
real-time Hendrick intranet setup trackside and every CC can see every
change made to every car on every stop of every race. That's about as
open book as you can get. Junior & Junior tend key off the 48 when
they struggle since they all seem to admit that JJ and DEJ like
similar setups and drive similarly...and I also think that Darian
Grubb left such an imprint on the 48 team when he left to come to the
88 for this season, that much of their technical stuff in general is
done similarly from the shop to the track.
