Do you think MM puts himself in that category? He talks about retirement, he talks about age. Or do you think it might be the press constantly reminding us how old he is? Or a combination of the two?
When do you hear the press talking about how old Martin is? He has made much more of his retirements himself than anything the press has ever said about him.
I asked the question. And I have heard the press discuss MM's age.

I agree with your opinion that he's still competitive. Given top drawer equipment, he seems like a threat to win at most of the events he drives. It will be interesting to see how he does next year
He'll continue to almost thrill people. Martin has never had the fire to really win the big prize and he doesn't now.

Who's talking about setting the world on fire. I said I think he's competitive and given good equipment, has a chance to win most of the events he drives. So do a lot of other drivers.

Is there somewhere in the lines I've written where I said he'll win a championship?

Mark Martin is NOT competitive. He only leads laps or runs up front
when he has a good car. He cannot take a mediocre car and make it run
good, he does not have the talent.

Mark Martin does not have the hunger to do good, just run around the
track like Kyle Petty did to get maximum sponsor exposure.

Martin should get his *** out of the seat and let a younger driver
show him how it's done. HMS is wasting a car on Martin for the 09
season.

Seems he's doing pretty well for only running about 2/3 of a season.

In NASCAR, money talks. As long as he is still the choice, let the younger drivers try to knock him off of the hill.
