U've probably seen this latest on Jamie Mac, but in case u haven't
here's the link:
Sorry, it's gone from Ndotcom.
I haven't seen a lot of articles on Jamie in the offseason and am
somewhat surprized about that since he & Kurt were the talk of N
since 7/7/05.
It got me to thinking about our 'Matchmaking' project and how changes
with teams, car makes, etc. affect fans' feelings about their favorite
drivers? I know u r somewhat conflicted concerning Jamie, but pretty
sure u declared no matter who he's with or what brand he drives,
u will stick with him.
I'm pretty sure i'd stick with Ryan Newman even if he went with
Toyota in '07. Of course i am a firm believer in Toys,
owning '99 & '88 Camrys (even had a new '73 orange Corolla!).
I'm not so sure if i'd stick with Jimmie Johnson if he left
Rick Hendrick/JG, tho. Priority 1-2-3 can be dif quite often, eh?
The basics of becoming a fan of a particular driver may be
more complex than just 'I like his looks', or 'The number
on his car is my favorite'. No doubt CRU is a bit different than most
fans & doesn't entirely understand 'Mystery-Wimmin' ;)
I anxiously await your psycho philo on basics of fandom!
PS: Apparently Jayski likes my stuff at SM.com. I have posted
6 articles there, he missed the 1st one but has linked the next
5 inarow. One of my arts even got ranked in The Top5 on SM.com!

Every time i see the commercial for E-True Luv-Matchmaking-free survey,
i always wonder if u & i would come up as a match. Shall we take it?
