Well, David Guilliland AND his crew chief got to enjoy the hospitality
in the NASCAR truck after the race, Jamie Mac had another good race,
Jimmie Johnson had a bad race day and I think I may have gotten more
than one point. Overall, not a bad day.


Winner: David Reutimann gets his first (I think). David has been the
only bright spot for MWR and has a pretty good starting spot. I don't
think he will blow it.

+0 Coulda, shoulda, woulda. He hung around in second place or the
top 5 until the end. Slipped back to 10th after the last fuel stops.
He is certainly the shining light in the MWR stable right now.


1. DEJr scores a top five. I was waffling between Jr and Reutimann
for the win. I think Jr will be up there in the thick of it.


+0 Running out of fuel at the end pushed him back to 20th.

2. Smoke will fight and claw his way from the rear (starting 43rd in
a backup car) but he will push it too hard and either wreck of fade
and finish outside the top-15.


+1 The race has not been good to Smoke. He finished 16th.

3. Bad weekend for Petty Enterprises, so far. Bobby Labonte
qualified 35th and McCumbee was a DNQ. It will not get much better as
the 43 finishes outside the top 30.


+1 39th. I don't know what their problem was this weekend, but their
cars stunk all weekend.

4. Paul Menard is having a good weekend. It'll continue as he posts
a top 10.

+0 Same old song, different driver. He started out well and then
faded ......and faded and faded all the way to 20th.


5. Only 5 chasers starting in the top 5. No more than 5 Chasers will
finish in the top 5.


+0 That was supposed to say no more than 5 finish in the top 12., so
that is the way I am scoring it. If I scored it as written, it would
be an absolute gimme. One to many this week. Six in the top 12.
