Another way to say it would be that every driver who gets one
or more wins, gets a 500 point bonus.
I rather like it...I like it better than the idea that the gap
between 1st place points & second should be much bigger than
the current 10 points. It keeps things close between the
drivers with multiple wins...I'd say a driver with 3 wins
and 3 seconds should rank above one with 4 wins and 2 eleventh
place finishes, which is how it would work out in Poole's
system.
I find it a tad startleing that with such a big bonus, a no-wins
driver could still get in the chase over a driver with a win,
but according to Poole's pre-Bristol numbers, Wallace would be
in and Kahne out.
