We are a multi-iPod family too. And no McLarens chez nous, either

Do you have 2 dead ipods out of 3 or actually use 3?
We have 4, (5 if you include the iPhone) : 2 of the latest Nanos for the
kids, and my wife and I have the 3rd Gen 20Gb white models. All of them
work fine.
Do you have 3 because Apple built in obsolescence to 'force' upgrades or
do
you need/want 3 for some reason?
Wait, you're asking Brendan, not me, right?
Apple are the new evil empire imho.
I think you should worry about Google and Facebook more.
They make the most common repairs needed
uneconomical on purpose imho.
Chad, in case you hadn't noticed, we are *deep* into the era of
"replace, don't repair" in ALL consumer electronics. All companies do
it. When home DVD players and such can be bought for 29 euros what else
do you expect? I dislike it as much as you do.
You've got a point there. Although I'm not sure many other companies are
quite so purposeful about it. Maybe that's part of the reason for their
success.
I have 4 kids and have been through the cycle of buying half a dozen iPods
over the years. I'm still a little bitter at having to spend 4 or 5 hundred
bucks on an item that has either broken down or been superseded within 12
months, only to have the supplier treat me like a chump.
Anytime I hear the name Apple now, I have trouble not throwing in a bitch
about them :p
