weekend.

Yes - but allow 3 compounds and let the teams use whichever they like
in whatever mix. But this is more about a better competition and not
having teams be potentially handicapped by the chosen tyre
compound(s).

Nah. We're sending out people to race at potentially lethal speeds. If
there is one thing that should have no restrictions on, that's the
tyres.

Good point - I was more focussing on the part he didn't mention :)

7 Consider postponing Kers.

It has merits, but KERS is hardly compatible with cutting costs or
closing up the competition. Certainly not initially.

KERS is a strange one. I don't care for it.
It is an added risk with the potential to fail and cause some damage
to driver, pit crew and marshalls.
It will require additional expense at a time when expense is not
desirable.
Viewers will need to be able to see when KERS is being used by a
driver, otherwise the "magic" won't be there.

Maybe we could have blue neon running lights under the sidepods?

8 Well this one wasn't really a point, was it? :)

He forgot to mention cutting drivers' wages to reasonable sums.
If Ferrari cut Kimi(42 wasn't it ?) and Massa(20 something ?) by 50%
they could still afford bus fare to the track and there is 30 million
dollars. That's the tyres for a season..
He also forgot taking a snipe at Bernie, who could easily cut his
profits by 30% in these bad times and pass it on to the teams. Even
better, pass on 15% and give the TV stations and venues a break with
the other 15%.

Drivers will cost as much as the difference they can make. Are you better
off having Alonso than an aero programme? :)
