During the whole of my Usenet life (over ten years) I have never
felt
the need to start a killfile. Indeed, I've always felt that one of
the
great advantages of Usenet is the fact that anybody can post
anything
they like, however biased or intemperate. If you are in a bad mood,
or
drunk, or your girlfriend has just left you, you can fire of a rant
and immediately feel better.

One should, of course, listen to the opposing point of view and I've
always felt that I have some sort of duty to read posts, however
inflammatory, that represent views opposed to my own. MJF, in his
various reincarnations, has always been offensive but he used to be
able to present a reasonably intelligent angle on the subject we are
all interested in: F1. Now he seems reduced to suppurating bile in
brief, ungrammatical sentences.

Finally driven to distraction by the bias and sheer ignorance of a
few posters (mainly, but by no means exclusively Hamilton-haters) I
have finally started a killfile.

Oh joy! I can skim off the dross and concentrate on those who have
serious opinions (even though they differ radically from my own).

Wish I'd done it long ago

If all the so called clever people stopped replying to the the tolls
they
would move on, but as long as the twats reply to every troll post
they
will
keep posting. Only trolls post "Hambone" etc about Lewis, but half of
the
reg's will feel duty bound to reply thinking it makes them look
clever!

There's nothing worse than a group where everyone agrees.

I don't agree with that at all.

Why not?
