Ooops - "fare" not "fair".
Certainly but you did refer to the majority of fans, not the majority
of your friends.
Okay - you got me. I haven't phoned every fan personally yet. ;-)
On British TV, Jensen Button, Anthony Davidson and
David Coulthard also often get more coverage in the commentation than
perhaps they deserve, because of the concentration on the individuals
rather than the teams.
I personally would prefer to see more about the mainly British teams
(although that's most of them no matter what team they nominally
belong to ;-) ) rather than just the drivers.
However, you'll always get more coverage of the British drivers on
British TV, that's not arse-licking.
Oh - I wasn't referring to that, more the over-the-top drooling that is
common. In particular, I find some of the commentary in newspapers
(often, I suspect, from F1 non-specialists) simplistic and jingoistic.
I'm sure this is common in many countries, and Marca certainly seems
worse than the UK manages. ;-)

Oh come on, they were the same over Alonso and before that Schumacher. Its
just this time there is a Brit to follow.
Frankly this bull*** debate is basically becomming a Brit bashing nonsense.
The majority of people who watch races are NOT F1 gurus They are average
Joe's who tune in because of the Hamilton hype. The commentators just give
viewers what the tune in for.
As for the TV feeds, ITV, Speed etc have nothing to do with it. Neither does
Britain. They show what they are fed. The stuff before the rase is taylored
for a British audience , and the majorityof them are not tuning in to see
how Toro Rosso do.
Has anyone here ever thought that those who make the decision know a bit
more about what to show and what not to show than anyone here does?
Sorry world, but Hamilton is the new whizzy driver and he gets lots of
coverage. Just like others before him. Get over it, or let the jealousy
consume away.
Hamilton clearly gets the coverage he deserves. ITV clearly taylor thier
coverage for thier British audience. Other countries can do thier own thing.
