Thanks for the info but that's all I want. My son watches in
advance via downloads

I have a media player thats connects my TV to my PC via a network
cable and it streams the Divx files direct from the PCs hard drive
onto my big TV. The quality is stunning especially considering the
size of the files are only around 360mb.

I still have a phone with a dial... ;-)

But seriously, I haven't invested in such technology - yet. Is it
really that good? What about HD (which I'm beginning to seriously
think about having had a little play on my son's PS3)?

A DVD player for playing Xvid/DivX files from t'internets were
available for as little as £25 to £30 with a slot for a USB pen drive
last time I bought one. I do much the same as Peter at the moment most
of the time though and use the svideo or DVI out on my PC to a SCART
adaptor or HDMI respectively on the TV.

I don't have a DVD recorder and prefer to download most popular
programs if I miss them. The quality is often at least as good as my
STB reception.

I am not too fussed about being ahead of the UK channels on these types
of series but I don't like to wait a week between episodes so grabbing
a full series from the US early is much more appealing for the fact I
can watch a couple at a time. No ads to bother with either.

I get nearly all my motorsports online.

but I'm more patient and prefer to wait until I can see
it on a decent sized screen!

I'm more of a "I want it and I want it NOW!!" type of person.

I'm more of a "if it's worth waiting for, the waiting just adds to it,
unless some twat tells you the ending before you've seen it" type of
person. And I drink Guinness...
