Cheers,
Probert.
It's usually up to the individual school district when they are in or
out of session as long as they are in session for the amount of days
required by the state. Sometimes a school district will take a day off
for a major federal holiday (Martin Luther King, Jr. Day for example),
or major state holiday...giving everyone a three day weekend (Sat.,
Sun., Mon.). The only big holiday would be Spring Break, which is
usually in the middle of the Spring Semester (2nd week in March for my
school). The best thing to do is to go to the district website for the
school in question. They should have a school calender somewhere on the
site that shows when school will be in or out of session.
