I'd like to know a little more about this 'email' system that race
control
supposedly used to notify the teams of the full wet tyre mandate. I'd
be
very surprised if it's actually an email system in the accepted sense
of
the word. That would be risking far too much on servers going down in
obscure parts of the world when safety related matters have to be
communicated toot sweet.

I suspect it's more of a circuit specific direct network with instant
transmission and I find it very doubtful that Ferrari just happened to
not
get their copy until after the race started. An investigation ought to
be
able to say exactly when the copy hit the Ferrari screens and if it
did
arrive in time then I think a sanction for a clear breach of both
safety
and competitive advantage rules wants slapping on them without delay.

Breaching safety rules is the cardinal no-no. More grievous IMO than
some
barely proven nonsense about intellectual property. They could have
had
someone's eye out today doncha know if a Ferrari had slid into another
car
on its illegal tyres. How about loss of all constructor's points for
the
season plus a 100,000,001 dollar fine and immunity for any driver or
team
member who blows the whistle that shows Toad to have been lying.

I agree 100 000 001%. But Mad Max is too blind to see anything but
McLaren's
supposed errors. He convicted them on mere suspicion but Ferrari are
apparently above suspicion in his eyes. I think I have more chance of
winning the Lottery - and I don't do it.

Well, if I got nicked for $100,000,000.00 based on being convicted "on
mere suspicion", you can bet I'd be kicking up a bit more of a fuss
than Mr. Dennis apparently is not. Why do you defend a cheat and a
proved liar?

McLaren's antics are every bit as disgusting and disrespectful to true
F1 fans as the antics of the Dago Red team.

Both should be forever banned from F1.

if ferrari got banned they would start their own series and they would soon
have a full field.
meanwhile FIA would be left with nothing.
its unfortunate but thats the way it is.
