How would widening the cars make overtaking easier? Am I missing
something?
As for slicks, I reckon the grooved tyres they use now have about as
much grip as the slicks had when they were banned (even with
considering the reduced width). Is this an appearance question? I
understand that increasing mechanical grip while reducing the aero
grid is desirable, but it only works well if both are changed.
With traction control gone, the drivers would of course be happy with
increased mechanical grip, but we don't want them to have too easily
drivable cars, do we?
