Did you judge the incident by watching it in slow-mo replay or real-time?

I downloaded the video with all the different angles in slow-motion and
found him guilty. However after I finally saw it in real time, because
it all happens so fast (all within one second), I've reversed my opinion.

The only question I raise in all the replays is: is his car in the same
position as on all previous laps...?

Reason is I reckon he's way too far against the right wall when he should
be further out as the drivers take Rascasse as a single corner in the
current configuration - whereas he seemed to be taking two bites at it -
almost inviting what happened..?

Comments?

Matt

I originally thought it looked very deliberate. Now I am not so sure.

My thinking is that MS may have gotten too close to the right hand wall and
got off the driving line. The resulted in him unselttling the braking by
being both on the dirty stuff and off line making the turn point 'alien' to
the norm. Then as he tried to brake, the wheels locked. To avoid flat spots
on the tyres he would start the race on, he released the brakes and
straightened the wheel to regain control (which is what you would do in that
situation). Once under control, he then attempted to make the turn but ran
out of lock (which is pretty much the norm with a modern F1 car, piss poor
lock)

Just a possible reason for the whole affair.

I've only seen it a couple of times, but that's how it looked to me,
he just came in to the corner too fast. Have you got a URL for the
video with all the angles?
