Well, firstly .. *any* conspiracy theory that suggests
an airplane didn't hit the Pentagon has to address two
fundamental questions .. (1) What happened to the aircraft
that took off as American Airlines flight 77

This aircraft and these people did not just evaporate.


I don't have an hour and a half at the mo but I'll answer the point
at the beginning about "secondary explosions" - those are caused by
the odd window blowing out as the floors collapsed on top of each
other inside the building.

That may be so. But there's so much more other stuff to consider -
like the rate of collapse, the suspiciously perfect vertical collapse
of the towers, WTC7 etc.

Fact is, we don't know the half of it.

IMHO, what happened on Sept 11 was pretty much what we know ..
that four aircraft were hijacked and intentionally crashed.
There was no missile, no bombs planted in the WTC in advance,
no remote-controlled aircraft and no vast conspiracy ..

I believe, as well, the Bush administration either had
advance warning of the attack and ignored it, or
intentionally chose to do nothing, and then in the
immediate aftermath of confusion and fear, decided
to use this horrendous event as a means of gaining
political leverage over their opponents, and over
the public.

This is an administration that couldn't even respond effectively
to a hurricane that was known to be coming days in advance, who
tried to appoint Bush's personal lawyer to the Supreme Court, and
who, who ignored the advice of flag-level officers in estimating the
force needed to maintain the peace in Iraq, who has ratcheted up the
highest defecit in US history .. how could they possibly be clever
enough to pull off something even remotely like what some of the
Sept 11 conspiracies suggest they did? I mean, some of the
conspiracies surrounding Sept 11 make the supposed conspiracies
involving TWA 800 seem like small potatoes indeed.
