Pete,

Just read on Autosport that Edwin Jowsey has signed with Comtec Racing to compete in the World Series by Renault. Says he's raced contemporary single-seaters and historics. I'm sure I recall him racing and winning in those exciting rigid axle mini-Stocks? Have I got the right chap? If so, good on him - he always looked a good racer the few times I saw them running.

I remember Edwin Jowsey in an old F5000 (VERY spectacular) and an
FJunior, and he's *damn* good - he was beating people with many more
years experience, and some guys who'd been front-line racers in the
past. He then went into Palmer Audi and kind of disappeared -- Kennard
was the only guy who achieved anything last year.

It's good to see that people who come into the sport by non-traditional
routes (like Edwin in Historics, Andy Priaulx through hillclimbs etc)
can still get into the mainstream.

Infact:

Pretty sure he won that race (Donny Oct '03). Sounded great when it was running - big V8 :)
