Re: "Michael has no chance"

Hill moves to the outside to overtake, finds Schumacher drifting across the track, so moves to the open door on the inside, only for Schumacher to drift back across the track and strike the Williams.
At this point Schumacher is not 'drifting across the track', he is
turning into the right-hand corner. This is an important point, the
track goes to the right, Schumacher turned to the right, just as Hill
was trying to dive underneath, through a closing gap.

Underneath a car which was not running at competitive speed.

MS did what any other driver would do.

He had no idea exactly how damaged his car was and drove defensively to protect his position. Damon did not need to take such a chance, but of course didn't know that. No need to look further.

And remember, think what you like of him but he was clearly the dominant driver of that year. He had been DQ'd once because of how his car was prepared, and once because his team had told him to stay out while they investigated the petty offence of a parade lap infringement. I could smell the parochialism from Australia! He was additionally suspended for two races beyond that.

So here he was having only been beaten by Hill in a straight fight *once* over the 15 previous races - and yet at risk of losing the title to him. Yes - Hill only won 2 races that MS finished through the entire season, and in one of those MS only had 5th gear.

That anyone can consider Hill robbed is amazing. MS deserved to win that title, and a long time before that race.

If you want to focus on collisions that appear deliberate between MS and Damon - turn the camera around at Silverstone and Monza next season. Because Damon's moves at both of those races were never going to result in anything but both drivers leaving the circuit.

Strangely they attract almost no attention.
